The Drop Zone’s mission is to motivate young people in order to raise their aspirations and achievements by providing them with a safe and friendly environment in which to meet and be educated in an informal way. We do this by giving young people the opportunity to access all sorts of stimulating, interesting leisure and educational activities within a youth-work environment.
What we can offer:
The wider communities often perceive young people to be a nuisance because they have nowhere to go, this leads to young people feeling marginalised and undervalued which in turn can lead to anti social behavior, a vicious circle. We therefore provide… “somewhere to go… a place of their own”, where young people can channel their energies into challenging and interesting activities. We also provide young people with information and support on issues that affect their lives.
It is recognised by many that there is a need for a variety of learning environments to meet the needs of all young people. The Drop Zone provides an informal way to raise the achievements and aspirations of young people through a variety of accredited courses. We also work along side schools to provide additional emotional and social support to young people who find mainstream education difficult to engage in.

Saturday 5pm — 8pm
Sunday 1pm – 4pm
