Activities for Easter half term for children with a disability
Several of our activities are fully booked. Below are activities with places available or where you do not need to book.

Wednesday 31st March
Aqua Max (Splash) at Park Leisure Centre 9.00am – 10.00am.
No need to book - just turn up.
Story session at Barrow Library for disabled children 10.00 am – 11.00am
Does your child enjoy listening to stories and looking at picture books?
Places are limited to 12 children and each child must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Places must be booked with the Community Unit on 407312
Sunbeams 1.30pm – 3.30pm Ormsgill Children’s Centre
Therapeutic music and movement sessions for children and young people with special needs (ages 2-18) accompanied by their parents/carers. Siblings are welcome. Please contact Jackie on 01229 834533.
Thursday 1st April
10.00am till 10.45am Max inspiration Gym
11.00am – 12.00noon Cycling at Park Leisure Centre – siblings welcome.
Bring you own bike or try one of the bikes kindly lent to us by Sandside School.
Tuesday 6th April
Aqua Max (Splash) at Park Leisure Centre 9.00am – 10.00am.
Multi - Skills at the Park Leisure Centre 1.30pm – 3.30pm.
1.30pm – 2.30pm noisy session
2.30pm – 3.30pm quiet session

Football Coaching: 12-2pm (12-1pm under 16’s, 1pm-2pm over 16’s) with Barrow AFC Community Initiative
Sunday 11th April
How to train your Dragon. 2pm at the Apollo Cinema.
Parents, carers and siblings welcome. There is a £1 charge for each child. No charge for parents and carers.
No need to book in advance but you will be required to sign in at the event.
Parents and Carers Forum
Parents and carers of disabled children getting together for support and change
We welcome all parents/carers of disabled children to come and join us.
We meet every few weeks to discuss how to improve the lives of our children and ourselves.
We work with providers of services to ensure they meet the needs of our children.
We help to promote positive opportunities available for our children.
And we provide support to each other.
